Total ICAP Electronic Broking Average Daily Volumes for EBS and BrokerTec Platforms Increase 6% in April Year on Year

London, 4 May 2011 – ICAP, the world’s premier interdealer broker, announced today that total electronic broking average daily volumes for the month of April on the BrokerTec and EBS platforms reached US$822.3billion (bn), an increase of 6% year on year.

Total average daily volumes in fixed income products on the BrokerTec platform were $674.8bn, an increase of 8% on the previous year. Overall repo volumes reached $538.1bn, up 10% year on year. US Treasury electronic broking volumes increased 3% year on year to $136.7bn.

Total average daily volumes on the EBS platform were $147.4bn, down 4% year on year. 

ICAP reports all of its electronic broking volumes on a single count basis.
