ICAP and EBS Win Best Broker for Spot FX from FX Week

11 December 2014

London, 11 December 2014 – ICAP, a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services and EBS, its market leading electronic FX business, announce today that they have been awarded Best Broker for Spot FX in the FX Week Best Banks Awards reader survey. This is the 14th year that ICAP and EBS have won this award.

The awards, which represent the results of a survey of over 3,000 FX market participants including banks, corporates and investors, were announced at a gala dinner on Wednesday, 26 November.

FX Week attributed the win to ICAP and EBS’s ability to navigate the market in difficult circumstances for the industry, while still providing a valuable service for customers in both voice and electronic markets.

Andrew Berry, Managing Director, Foreign Exchange, Global Broking, ICAP, said: “We are incredibly grateful to FX Week’s readers for voting ICAP and EBS ‘Best Broker for Spot FX’. In challenging market conditions, ICAP and EBS continue to innovate to provide market leading solutions for our clients. Our launch of eFix Matching in April 2014 has been very successful and fulfils the market need for increased transparency and auditability around FIX execution in a separate pool of foreign exchange FIX liquidity.”

Gil Mandelzis, CEO of EBS-BrokerTec, said: “Feedback of this sort from customers and other market participants is extraordinarily pleasing. This year we have focused on a number of new initiatives and we have had great success in our new product offerings, EBS Direct and EBS Liquidity Optimization. EBS Market remains an essential part of the FX market’s infrastructure and we have seen continued growth in this business, particularly in emerging markets and currencies such as the Chinese renminbi. We are very optimistic for the future and looking forward to next year.”
