25 October 2012
Receives accolade for the fourth time in the last five years
London, Hong Kong and Singapore, 25 October, 2012 – ICAP (IAP.L), the world’s leading interdealer broker and provider of post trade risk and information services, has been named interdealer broker of the year at the 2012 AsiaRisk Awards. This is the fourth time ICAP has received the award in the last five years.
Aaron Woolner, Editor, AsiaRisk Magazine, said: "The passionate and highly positive testimonials by top dealers and brokers in favour of ICAP truly helped to set the company apart from the competition. They reaffirmed ICAP's continued commitment to innovation, investment in technology, as well as excellence in service. In particular, ICAP's performance in electronic broking stood out. Its courageous enhancements to the EBS platform, such as decimal pricing and the block trading service, were extremely well received."
Hugh Gallagher, Chief Executive Officer, ICAP, Asia Pacific, said: "We are honoured to be named interdealer broker of the year again. This accolade means all the more because it is based on the opinions of our clients and peers. Our team has worked very hard to offer value to our customers in challenging conditions. The award speaks well to the strength of ICAP's franchise, footprint and capabilities in the region."
Among the innovations and new developments that contributed to ICAP's win were the launch of ICAP's hybrid Asian NDF platform, AU Bonds Fixings on the ETC Platform; and electricity voice fixings. Previously, ICAP's EBS Platform won "Best Spot FX Broker" for the ninth consecutive year in the FX Week awards.
ICAP has also increased its post-trade services platforms through six businesses across the region, all of which offer unique features and benefits to a growing customer base.
